Elfstedentocht Cycling Route
Of course, the tour of tours is the Eleven Cities (Elfsteden)! Not only for skaters, but also for cyclists. Enjoy the vast Frisian countryside over a distance of 255 km.
You don’t have to wait for freezing temperatures to experience the “Tour of Tours”. Get on your bike and discover the nearly 260-kilometre route through Friesland’s 11 Cities.

The Eleven Cities Cycling Route is divided into four stages. Explore them via the links below:
- Stage 1: Sneek – Stavoren (75 km)
- Stage 2: Stavoren – Harlingen (51 km)
- Stage 3: Harlingen – Dokkum (80 km)
- Stage 4: Dokkum – Sneek (53 km)

Collect your stamps!
For €9.95, you can buy the official Eleven Cities Route map, including a stamp card. In each city, you’ll find a stamp point where you can collect a stamp. Once you have completed your stamp card, you can also collect your well-deserved certificate here! Order your route map with stamp card here.
