PlukWad: a colourful experience for all ages

On a sunny day, stroll through a huge flower field. Take your time choosing the most beautiful flowers. Cycle home through the farmland in the sunshine. Pick out your favourite vase and enjoy the colourful blooms for days. A visit to the flower-picking garden is a delightful experience for young and old!

How does it work?
We sow, you pick. Together, we help nature and support good causes.

Adopt
Adopt a section of the flower garden for €10 per square metre. This is a symbolic amount. Any additional contribution is very welcome! The flower-picking garden officially opened on Saturday 9 July. The garden will remain open until the arrival of autumn means there are no more flowers to pick. We expect to close the garden at the end of October.

We have sown several flower mixes with a wide selection of cut flowers, while also taking biodiversity into account.

Come to the garden, pick up a pair of scissors, stroll through the sea of flowers and create your own bouquet. Then head home quickly, because fresh flowers love water.

Tell your friends and family about it – the more people who adopt a square metre, the greater the chance that PlukWad flower garden can return every summer!

The garden is always accessible. You can find PlukWad flower garden in Wijnaldum on Alde Leane. The flower garden is within cycling distance of Harlingen, Franeker and Sexbierum.
